How Shipping Automation Works?
Intechnic’s integrated Shipping Automation System will save you time and money by fully automating shipment of your products. As part of the checkout process, the shopping cart/e-commerce system will automatically present available shipping methods to the customer. The Shipping Automation System will automatically connect to the carrier’s servers (via the each of the carreirs' Shipping API) to determine prices and availability based on source, destination, dimensions, expediency of shipping, and weight of the products. The price received from the shipping carrier’s system can be marked up to include handling charges.

Once the customer selects a shipping method and following the approval of the order, the system will automatically schedule an order pickup with the carrier. The system will create an order directly in the chosen carrier’s system, assign the order to the appropriate account, and pass along all of the required shipping information. Once the order is created, the system will automatically generate an official shipping label that can be printed by the administrator and attached to the package that is being sent to the customer. The pick-up ticket will then be automatically issued for the carrier to pick up the package.
Discounted Pricing
Intechnic Corporation has developed strategic partnerships with businesses that resell shipping services for various carriers. These partnerships allow for reduced pricing on shipping when Intechnic builds web sites with full shipping integration into one of the major carriers. Since all online vendors need to ship their products to customers and since there are so many that sell similar products, the discounted shipping price, at times, is what allows one web site to gain an edge on the competition. Discounted Pricing will allow your business to gain that edge.

In many cases, customers purchasing products have their own UPS™, DHL™, USPS™, and FedEx™ accounts and prefer to use them, as they may receive a discount on their account.
