Entries are accepted beginning at 12:00 a.m. Central Time on December 1, 2005 and ending at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time on January 15, 2006 (the "Entry Period"). Voting begins at 12:00 a.m. Central Time on January 1, 2006 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Time on January 15, 2006 (the "Voting Period")
There is only one way to enter the contest by registering online at http://www.intechnic.com/xtreme/registration.html. You may enter the contest at any time during the Entry Period.
Limit one entry per company. You may only entry a company’s website if you are an employee of that company responsible for the company's website and are authorized to make decisions regarding the company's website. You may NOT enter any website that is not yours or if you are not authorized to make decisions regarding the entering website. Violating entires will be disqualified.
Should you encounter any entry that is in violation of company’s rules, codes, procedures or policies, please write to xtreme@intechnic.com to request the removal. Such requests will be honored within 2 business days. Should any entry be found in violation of any of the contest's rules, it will be automatically disqualified.
Each entry (including the story) must be original, of entrant's own style and creation. It must not have been entered in any other competition, including other competitions conducted by the Intechnic Corporation. The story may not mention the full personal name and/or contact information of any individual that is not the entrant themselves nor mention the name of the company who developed the entering website. Moreover the entry may not violate the privacy rights of any other parties. The entry may not be offensive or defamatory nor contain vulgar or profane language, as determined by Intechnic Corporation.
Entrant assigns and transfers to Intechnic Corporation all right, title, and interest to the entry. Intechnic Corporation shall have all rights to copy, edit, publish, and use, in whole or in part, the story, and any other intellectual property protected or protectable materials submitted by entrant, in any manner without further compensation during and after the contest period, except where prohibited by law.
Your entry will be accepted and published on the website pending a review by Intechnic Corporation. Intechnic Corporation reserves the right to deny or remove any entry for any reason during the Entry Period or the Voting Period.
Each entry will be ranked by visitors of the website by selecting a score on a scale from 1 to 5. Limit one vote per user per website.
All entries will be ranked by their average score (sum of all points received divided by the number of votes) to determine the winner. A qualified entry with the LOWEST score at the end of the Voting Period will be the winner of the contest.
In order to qualify, each entry must collect at least ½ of the average number of votes per all entries in the contest. In the event of a tie, the entry with the most votes wins.
The Contest is open to individuals who are 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry, are legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Canada or the European Union as of the time of contest entry and who have an email account as of the time of contest entry. The following promotion is intended for viewing in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Canada, ant the European Union (the "Eligibility Area") only. Do not proceed further in this site or these materials if you are not located in the Eligibility Area.
Contest subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. military installations in foreign countries, and where prohibited.
Sponsor of this Contest is Intechnic Corporation. Employees of Intechnic Corporation and their advertising agencies, affiliates, and/or promotional partners and members of their immediate families together with whom such employees are domiciled are not eligible to enter or win.
There will be one (1) Grand Prize awarded in this contest. The Grand Prize winner will receive a free web site designed by Intechnic Corporation and equipped with a Content Management System. The exact project specifications will be at a sole determination of Intechnic Corporation and will be provided upon request. Total approximate value of the Grand Prize is $10,000.
Winners will be notified by email and telephone. If a winner does not respond within 3 days of the date appearing on the prize notification, or fails to comply with the instructions contained in the prize notification within that time period, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification. Unclaimed prizes may not be awarded. In the event of a dispute concerning the identity of the person submitting an entry online, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered. Winners may be required to provide evidence of identity in connection with claiming the prize.
Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, garbled, incompletely received, mutilated, or illegible, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser or network failure, malfunction, congestion or incompatibility at Intechnic Corporation’s website or elsewhere, will not be eligible and Sponsor is not responsible for any technical problems related to online entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Intechnic Corporation. Intechnic Corporation reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate this Contest in the event that it becomes infected by a computer virus or is otherwise technically impaired or if the Contest cannot be conducted as planned by causes beyond the control of the Intechnic Corporation.
Income and other taxes, if any, on the value of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners.
Acceptance of a prize constitutes consent and agreement to use winner's name, website, story, and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation during and after the contest period, except where prohibited. By entering and/or by accepting a prize, you agree to release Intechnic Corporation, its affiliates, and their directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability arising out of your participation in this Contest with respect to the awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
Winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, a publicity release (where permitted by law), and/or a liability release, which must be signed and returned within 3 days of the date on the prize notification or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be chosen. By entering and/or by accepting the prize, you agree (where permitted by law) to use of your name and likeness for publicity purposes without further compensation.
No substitution of prize, including cash substitutions, except by Intechnic Corporation in which case a prize of greater or equal value will be substituted. Prizes are not transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash and the Grand Prize may not be exchanged.
You agree that you shall not upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, hidden code, worms, trojan horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. Intechnic Corporation reserves the right to disqualify any entrant found tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the Contest or who violates these official rules. Caution: any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification of such entrant. Should such an attempt be made, Intechnic Corporation reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorney's fees) from any such participant to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
All entries become the property of Intechnic Corporation and will not be acknowledged or returned. Intechnic Corporation is not liable for lost, stolen, misdirected, or late entries.
This Contest is governed by the laws of the United States with venue in Lake County in the State of Illinois. The formation, interpretation and performance of this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois applicable to agreements made and to be performed by Illinois residents entirely within the State of Illinois without regard to its conflicts of law provisions.
By entering, you agree to be bound by these rules. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this promotion but in no event attorney's fees; and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
