In order to facilitate online ordering or purchasing of your company’s products and services, the shopping cart functionality has to be seamlessly integrated into your website. This allows your customers to purchase directly from you with confidence without ever leaving your website.
Website visitors will be able to add any number of items from the available products into their shopping cart, which will be automatically stored while they are browsing the site. Once the customers are ready to proceed to checkout with their selection, the system will guide them to the checkout area, where the customers will fill out all of the necessary information to complete their order. If the User Services option is implemented, returning customers will be able to login to complete their order without having the need to re-enter their information. Optionally, the system may allow new customers to register and save their information for future use when they return to make additional purchases.
Upon the validation of the provided information and the successful completion of the purchase, the system will generate an invoice and a payment receipt automatically e-mailing it to the customer. The shopping cart will securely store all of the pertinent order information in a database. The website staff will utilize the Order & Payment Processing System to review and process orders and payments, view order information, etc.
