Let’s face it –home improvement decisions can be difficult. Choosing the right paint color or flooring, while coordinating it with furniture can be frustrating! Our visualization software – Virtual Room Designer solves that problem by allowing users to design their own rooms in a virtual environment. We have decided to launch this online contest to showcase the capabilities of our software while helping homeowners struggling with visual decisions. The entire project is a great example of our web design and flash programming capabilities.

Visitors of redesign-my-room can choose from various room types (for example, bedroom or kitchen) and styles (modern or classic). They can then completely redesign their room by choosing from a selection of flooring, repaint walls and ceiling, refinish cabinets, furniture, countertops, or anything else in the room. Once finished, the new room design can be Saved and submitted to the online contest.

Once a design is submitted to the contest, visitors of our website can vote for it (and for other designs). Users can cast their vote for each design whether they like it or not. As soon as you cast your vote, another design will be shown for your vote and so forth. You can vote for each design once.

The website also comes equipped with a social networking tool, allowing users to share their designs with friends and family and invite others to vote for their design through major social networks from Facebook to Twitter, or by e-mailing their contacts in their Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail accounts.

 

 

 

The winner that receives the most votes at the end of the month gets a $500 gift card towards their home improvement project. You can also view top rated designs for each given month on the homepage of the website.
