Intechnic Corporation, a Chicago-based web development company has awarded a $10,000 makeover to the Chicago Lawyers' Committee website – the winner of the “Worst Website Contest”.
Intechnic Corporation announced the winner of the Xtreme Website Makeover contest. The winner ‘Chicago Lawyers' Committee’ website (http://www.clccrul.org) will receive a complimentary makeover from Intechnic valued at over $10,000.
The contest ran online at www.xtreme-website-makeover.com and ended on January 15, 2006. Participants nominated their websites by submitting a short story explaining why they think their website is the worst. Internet visitors then voted for the worst website. During the two weeks of voting over 10,000 votes were cast for the websites participating in the contest.
Intechnic was sponsoring this event in an effort to raise awareness of the importance of having well-designed customer-oriented websites. “We were overwhelmed by the amount of public interest to our contest”, says Andrew Kucheriavy, CEO of Intechnic Corporation, “We are looking forward to redesigning the Chicago Lawyers' Committee’ website and we will definitely be running more of these contests in the future!”
